Montreal is an especially friendly city, as one will find him or herself twice-greeted upon entering any given establishment. “Bonjour-Hello”, subtext “We are all supercool and speak two languages better than any of you speak one”…. more probably, “we are all exhausted from having to always say everything twice in two different languages, so let’s cut to the chase, French or English, compadre?”
